What is rotex

ROTEX 7255 is a component of Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) that provides past exchange students the opportunity to use their experience and knowledge to promote RYE. ROTEX members (Rotexers) mentor Inbound, Outbound and Short Term students to ensure that students have the most successful and rewarding exchange experience. 

Who can be a rotexer

Any student who completed either the Long Term or Short Term Rotary Youth Exchange Program can apply.

WHAT do Rotexers do

As a rotexer, you can sign up to various events and responsibilities as your personal/academic schedule permits. There are also opportunities to participate remotely via online activities. Some of the activities you’ll be able to get involved in are:

  • Promote YE program & recruit students via presentations in person or virtually with Rotary clubs, Rotary Youth Programs (RYLA & Interact), schools & community organizations. 

  • Assist with interview process of perspective outbound YE Students.

  • Assist with orientation process of Inbound, Outbound & Short Term YE Students.

  • Chaperone day and/or overnight District YE trips.

  • Coordinate & run service projects and/or fundraisers with YE students and/or ROTEX.  

  • Develop, manage & run District 7255 YE Public Relations via social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You-tube, Tic Tok etc.).

  • Coordinate & plan a yearly ROTEX gathering (dinner/dance, BBQ, pool party etc.).
