Club Responsibilities for Youth Exchange

  • SECURE A YOUTH EXCHANGE OFFICER IN YOUR CLUB


  • PROMOTE YOUTH EXCHANGE IN YOUR COMMUNITY BY HANGING FLIERS IN THE SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES, AND AROUND YOUR COMMUNITY


  • FOR SHORT TERM:

-Sign off on application documents  

-Invite the Short Term Student/Parents to the club to share their exchange

experience as a presentation with video/photos


  • FOR LONG TERM:

-Secure 3-4 Host Families for the Inbound hosted

-Secure a Counselor of the same sex as the Inbound hosted

-Counselor responsible for monthly reports and meeting monthly with the

 Inbound hosted during the exchange

-Sign off on Outbound application documents as the Sponsor Club

-Sign off on Inbound application documents as the Host Club

-Expedite application documents for signature and school stamp at the high

 school Inbound student will be attending

-Provide Inbound a monthly allowance $100 - $150

-Provide (4 – 10) club flags to the Outbound student to share with the

 Hosting club Outbound is exchanging to

-Invite the OB & IB student to club meetings to share their exchange

experience as a presentation with video/photos, so club members can be  more ‘hands on” with the exchange experience and be educated with the process.

-Include exchange student in Club activities

-Secure an emergency family in case of an emergency with the host family

student is staying with—must be in place before the student’s arrival
